Meet Jaime Alvarez

Jaime A. Alvarez is a seasoned trial lawyer specializing in complex multi-party litigation, including medical malpractice, nursing home, and other cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death. Prior to focusing exclusively on representing plaintiffs, Jaime was the Chair of the Medical Malpractice Group at a prominent defense firm in Miami, Florida, where he represented hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, nurses, and other health care providers and became intimately familiar with the strategies used by the defense and insurers. However, believing that the health care industry had finally reached a dangerous point of placing profits over patient care, Jaime decided it was time to dedicate his career to protecting the rights of patients and representing the victims of malpractice.

Jaime has extensive experience litigating cases involving wrongful death, quadriplegia, brain damage, stroke, loss of limb, heart attack and other permanent injuries. Most recently, Jaime was part of a trial team which obtained $15.5 million on behalf of the client. Jaime graduated top five in English from the Florida International University, and in 2009 , he graduated cum laude from the Florida State College of Law. He is a SuperLawyer, Client Champion, and a former Top 100 Civil Defense Litigator.
